I gaze upon the deep blue sea, The sun begins to glow, Some fishing boats float leisurely, As my tears freely flow. The seabirds glide and laugh at me, Why? I will never know, They fly above so glad, so free, While my tears freely flow. In this secluded paradise, Young lovers come and go, I long to see your smiling eyes, As my tears freely flow. The palms, they line the sandy shore, As they sway to and fro, My pain is stronger than before, And my tears freely flow. I've strolled 10 miles along this beach, A heavy heart in tow, Because your heart is out of reach, So my tears freely flow. I see some footprints on the sand, Where yours were long ago, The waves roll up to where I stand, And my tears freely flow. In silence I walk all day long, Without a place to go, I did some things I knew were wrong, Now my tears freely flow. Playful dolphins reappear, As they leap high and low, They squeal their songs so loud and clear, As my tears freely flow. I've had enough; I sit and rest, The day has lost its glow, The sun sinks slowly to the west, As my tears freely flow. And down below this ocean deep, You're somewhere there I know, You're here with me when I'm asleep, As my tears freely flow.
